An arboretum is a site dedicated to the conservation, presentation and observation of woody forest, ornamental and fruit trees. Unique in Switzerland, the Arboretum in the valley of Aubonne is a vast park of over 200 ha of forests and meadows.
Numerous signposted pathways lead you through a majestic universe of more than 3,000 species and varieties of trees and shrubs. The Arboretum includes orchards of fruit trees which originate from all over the world, some from bygone years. The Arbrespace building is where you can join an expert guide to learn more about the botanical park and find refreshments in the buvette.
Created in 1968, the Arboretum offers a public space to relax and unwind surrounded by nature and peace. As you move through the park on any of the 9 walking paths at this time of year, the colours of Autumn are breathtaking and the park and its nature give you a great sense of wellbeing. Autumn in the Arboretum is not to be missed!
